How
do I save the animations ?
To use the graphics in your web site or intranet simply
right click on the graphic you want (once it is completely loaded)
and select SAVE IMAGE AS or SAVE PICTURE AS. Choose a directory
and press SAVE. It will then be on your hard drive free for you to
upload to the location of your website.
How
do I e-mail an animation to a friend ?
You can e-mail the GIF as an attachment or you could copy
the URL (address) from the address bar of your browser and paste
that in to your e-mail message so they can visit the same page.
What is
'direct linking' ?
This is the practice of copying the URL (address) of the GIF
(animation) and pasting the URL into another website, guest book,
forum, chat room, or other online entity.
Is there
anything wrong with 'direct linking' ?
Well...yes. Every file requested from this site costs bandwidth
and bandwidth costs money. Where ever possible please save the GIF
using the instructions above and upload the GIF to the location of
the HTML pages requesting them.
What about 'direct linking' to forums and
chat rooms ?
It is quite simple to start a free web account with someone like
geocities and place the animations you use for forums and chat
rooms in the free web account. You will probably find the
animations not only load faster but will be permanent, we change
the names and locations of animations here often.
